A highly trained and experienced Sarasota plastic surgeon, Dr. Engel encompasses all aspects of cosmetic surgery in his practice. He performs breast augmentation, breast lifts, breast reductions, and fat grafting to the breasts. He utilizes all types of implants including anatomic ‘gummy bear’ implants. His body contouring procedures include arm lifts, liposuction, abdominoplasty, body lifts, mommy makeovers and labiaplasty, as well as Brazilian butt lifts and buttock augmentation. Dr. Engel rejuvenates the hands using lasers and fat grafting. He also performs the latest advancements in facial rejuvenation using minimally invasive techniques that produce outstanding outcomes.  These include standard facelifts, mini lifts, browlifts, neck lifts, eyelid lifts, rhinoplasty, and fractionated CO2 laser resurfacing. Routinely he uses Botox® and Dysport®, as well as dermal fillers such as Juvederm® and Restylane® to achieve optimal results. I waited over 6 months just to get the consultation and it was worth the wait. I spent hours doing research and finding photos of what I want the results to look like. Many photos were of work Dr. Engel has performed on other patients. Dr. Engel took his time explaining options and realistic results in detail. Dr Engel is nothing but amazing! We have completed my 3rd surgery and I'm going in for my final post-op next month for my lower back lift, liposuction and butt procedure. EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Dr. Engel is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He earned his B.A. degree from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ, and his M.D. at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. Dr. Engel completed an additional fellowship in aesthetic surgery at The Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. He received extensive training in all aspects of cosmetic surgery including facelifts, rhinoplasty, breast and body contouring, and fat injections. During his training, Dr. Engel won both national and regional awards in clinical research at plastic surgery conferences throughout the country.

Dr. Engel is one of the plastic surgeons on the medical staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and Sarasota Plastic Surgery Center. He holds an academic appointment as Adjunct Clinical Faculty in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The Cleveland Clinic. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Sarasota County Medical Society.

Dr. Engel and his wife, Kelly, moved to Sarasota to join Sarasota Plastic Surgery Center in July 2008. Dr. Engel enjoys golfing, scuba diving, boating, exercising, horseback riding, skiing, world traveling and spending time with his beautiful wife, daughter, and son.
