Pregnancy causes many changes to the body, and a mommy makeover can reverse many of these. We recommend waiting to schedule a mommy makeover until you are no longer planning additional pregnancies. While undergoing surgery doesn’t affect your ability to carry a baby to full term, the strain of carrying a growing fetus can result in many of the same unwelcome changes your mommy makeover originally addressed. Patients who are uncertain about their plans for childbearing should let their surgeon know and discuss the best treatment approach.
Many patients find they have significantly fewer stretch marks after a mommy makeover. Trimming excess skin in a lifting procedure will take stretch marks along with it. You can address any remaining stretch marks with laser treatments or chemical peels.
