You should avoid taking any anti-inflammatory medications for one week, including Advil, Motrin, Aleve, and Ibuprofen. You are welcome to take Tylenol before or after your treatment.

Since the fat cells are destroyed they will never return, your results are visible indefinitely if your same weight is maintained.

There is no downtime with CoolSculpting. Patients are encouraged to return to all their regular physical activities & can do so the same day they are treated.

A person that has a body mass index of around 30% & would like to reduce stubborn pockets of fat. Exceptions to the BMI percentage are patients who are looking to have the volume under their chin treated. Also, patients who may have a higher BMI but have a specific area of volume they would like smoothed out. This treatment will not help with skin laxity or if you have an abdominal fold, these scenarios are better suited with a surgical consult with one of our board certified plastic surgeons. CoolSculpting can effectively reduce the volume of submental fat & reduce the look of a double chin. It cannot however treat just skin laxity (loose skin).

After the first treatment patients start to notice a change around the six-week mark & their end result is seen around 4 months after their 2nd treatment.

A second treatment is performed no sooner then 4 weeks after the first treatment. It does not have to be right at this time though & will not affect results if a patient waits longer.

Some patient’s experience some discomfort at the very beginning of treatment & at the end of treatment. At the beginning it will feel like a very cold icepack has been placed on you but this feeling subsides just after a few minutes as the area becomes numb. At the end when the applicator is taken off a 2 minute manual massage is performed to the area that was treated. This can then cause a sensation similar to what a brain freeze feels like when eating something cold but on the area that was just treated. This also subsides after a few minutes when the skin temperature rises back.

The best way to maintain your results is to maintain your current weight through diet and exercise.

CoolSculpting Elite works by applying a controlled temperature to address fat cells in selected regions for treatment. Essentially, it freezes the fat cells until they die. The cells are broken down by the body and expelled through natural functions.

CoolSculpting Elite is a nonsurgical, external treatment in which the device is applied simply to the skin’s surface. With this therapy, there's no need for a recovery period. You may experience some slight swelling and redness immediately after treatment, but this generally only lasts for approximately a week.

The number of treatments recommended to accomplish your wanted results will be decided during your initial consultation. For some patients, only one treatment is enough, but other patients may need more treatment sessions depending on the amount of fat being treated. The amount of treatments is dependent on your aesthetic goals and if there are thicker layers of fat in target regions.

While the fat cells can't regenerate, new fat cells may form. Furthermore, considerable weight gain will greatly impact your results. Thus, in order to maintain optimal results, it is advised that you adhere to a healthy diet and exercise routine.
