About Ringling Museum of Art
Opening to the public in 1931, the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is home to some of the most distinguished works of art in both the US and around the world. Much of the art featured in the museum comes from the Ringling’s very own collection that they acquired while traveling Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Controlled by Florida State University since 2000, the museum is flourishing more than ever and is becoming an epicenter for cultural history and art education. The museum began construction on a new building in 2013, and it will house an Asian art center. It is set to open in 2016. To plan your trip, visit: https://www.ringling.org/
